Mutton Kebabs aka Lamb Kababs
This recipe gives you a quick and easy way to make this awesome starter of juicy tender lamb cubes with a crispy cover of sesame seeds. Serve it as an appetizer or roll it up in pita bread or tortillas for a delicious snack.

Recipe Quick Steps

Step1: Mix the ingredients

In a mixing bowl mix together, curry powder, ginger garlic paste, cilantro, mint leaves, onions, bread crumbs, olive oil and salt to taste. Add minced meat to the mix and combine everything well.

Step2: Make kebabs balls:

Make golf ball size balls from the mix and then roll each of them on the poppy seeds to coat from all sides. Keep them aside.

Step3: Deep fry kebabs balls:

Heat oil at 360 degrees F for deep frying in a pan on medium high heat. Fry the kebab balls in the oil until golden brown.

Step4: Serve Mutton Kebabs:

Remove kebabs in a plate and serve them hot along with sauce or chutney.

Ingredients

Serves 4

    • 2 tablespoon curry powder
    • 2 tablespoon ginger garlic paste
    • 1 cup cilantro, finely chopped
    • ½ cup fresh mint leaves, finely chopped
    • 3 tablespoon onions, finely chopped
    • 1 cup gram flour/ fine bread crumbs/ corn starch
    • 1 tablespoon olive oil
    • salt to taste
    • 2 lb minced lamb
    • ½ cup poppy seeds
    • oil for deep frying

Prepare it

1In a mixing bowl mix together, curry powder, ginger garlic paste, cilantro, mint leaves, onions, bread crumbs, olive oil and salt to taste.

2 Add minced meat to the above mixture and combine everything well.

3Make golf ball size balls from the mix

4Pour poppy seeds in a flat plate and roll each kebab ball on the poppy seeds to coat from all sides. Keep them aside.

5Heat oil at 360 degrees F for deep frying in a heavy bottom frying pan on medium high heat. Put kebab balls in the frying pan in batches with enough room for frying each from all sides. Fry until they are golden brown.

6Remove them in a plate lined with paper napkin to soak excess oil.

7Serve them hot along with sauce or mint chutney.

Tip

You can make any shape that you desire for the kebabs. You can also bake the kebabs instead of deep frying for more healthy touch. Bake them for 25 minutes at 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
